Voici la suite de la chronique sur les légendes, là encore je vais noter 5 légendes. Je le répète toutes les notes ne sont qu’indicatives et ne remettent pas en cause l’impact de ces grands noms ont sur le catch actuel…

Lou Thesz :

Considéré comme la star du catch du 20ème siécle, Lou Thesz a tout inventé ! Du Power Bomb à l’ancêtre de la German Suplex en passant évidement pas le LouThesz Press et bien plus encore. Lou Thesz a révolutionné le catch. Il fut 6 fois champion du monde de la NWA de plus c’est le seul catcheur à avoir lutté tout autour de la planète durant 5 décennies régulièrement et si l’on prend en compte son dernier match qui eu lieu en 1990 il a catché pendant 7 générations !! Il eut le plus long règne cumulé de l’histoire de la NWA (10 ans) Techniquement bien au dessus de ces contemporains et de la plupart des lutteurs de la nouvelle génération, je n’aurais qu’un mot : BRAVO

Owen Hart

Catcheur souvent détesté par une majorité de la foule, il est cependant apprécié à sa juste valeur par les vrais fans. Il a sans doute inspiré beaucoup de futures stars comme RVD ou John Morisson. Alliant technique, rapidité et puissance c’est un des lutteurs les plus complet qu’aie connu la WWE (peut être même le plus complet). Il nous a quittés vraiment trop tôt…

Bam Bam Bigelow :

    Au même titre que Vader, Bigelow est exceptionnel pour quelqu’un de son poids. Il se différencie pourtant de ce dernier, en effet Bigelow est agile mais aussi très technique ! Cette qualité fait de lui la « brute épaisse » (comme disait Ramond Rougeau) la plus complète. Réalisant des matchs d’anthologie face à Bret Hart ou à André le géant… (A noter qu’il a fait équipe avec Vader.)

    Sammartino est connu pour être le champion ayant le plus long règne cumulé de l’histoire de la WWE (12 ans). C’est aussi un bagarreur de tout premier plan. Souvent comparé à Thesz, il ne possédait malheureusement pas un 10ième des capacités techniques de ce dernier. Il fut, tout de même, LE catcheur ayant marqué la WWE des années 60.
